“What an incredible place! Two families of four, kids 6-12, just returned from an amazing week in an amazing house in an amazing part of an amazing country. Secluded but stunning and accessible (20 mins to Ston, but What. A. Drive!), and in easy reach of beaches (loads), bars (Ston), sailing* (Slano), islands (Mljet by ferry) and Pejelsac (wine and oysters), we passed on Dubrovnik itself but didn't need it there was so much to do at or from the house. And if Maro's dad offers you a taste of his wine, do it!!! * and jet skis. For the Dads... :-)”
Tom’s feedback for you:
“I think a simple "thank you" would be almost rude! An utterly amazing week in an utterly amazing house in an utterly amazing part of the world, all made even more amazing by your help before we traveled, and Maro and his father's brilliance while we were there. The house was perfect, and your hospitality entirely matched it. Hvala!! :-)”

Park Gradac
Review by: Heather.H. on 13.07.2017

The location of the apartment was excellent with easy access to the old town but in a peaceful area with plenty of greenery. There is a park and small beach within a short walk, although there are plenty of hills/steps which may be difficult for anyone with mobility problems. Lovely airy apartment with good facilities including a coffee maker. The shower was the best I have had in a holiday apartment. Tthere is a table and chairs in the garden with an umbrella and this provided a lovely spot to have breakfast and late evening drinks.

Lidia and her family could not have been more helpful, we arranged to be picked up from the airport which meant finding the apartment was not an issue and anything else we needed, including some delicious tomatoes from the garden, was freely provided. There were leaflets in the apartment about various day trips and restaurants etc.

I traveled with my Mom who is 76 to Dubrovnik and feel very lucky to stay at their apartment. Lidia met us on the street so she could take our bags and help walk my mom to the apartment while i went to park the car. Dubrovnik is a walking city and this apartment has few steps to Pile Gate. Lidia and her family made our stay super special. I would stay here over and over again! Thank you very much Lidia

Great Lora apartment, great view, amazing people!!
Review by: Betina Bertran on 02.09.2016

We rented the Lora apartment for 2 days. It was excellent! The little apartment was lovely, with a terrace and a great view of the city of Dubrovnik. We had everything we needed and the location was excellent!! It is one of the most beautiful cities I have ever been to. I would also want to highlight the kindness of the owners of the apartment and the agency. We had a problem with a parking ticket issued in error to our rented car, and even two months after arriving to our country (Argentina) they helped us to clarify the situation and solve the problem. My deepest thanks. They were incredibly helpful. I recommend this apartment , I hope I could come back some day =)

Villa Maria
Review by: Edward Oakden on 01.09.2016

This house is amazing! We stayed with 8 friends for 10 days in August 2016. All very smooth on arrival despite us arriving at different times. You have your own access to the sea and plenty of space for us all to be together. The house is on the end of the peninsula so its very private. Its the perfect place to go to escape the hustle and bustle of normal life! We rented cars but a taxi to the shops or town is not expensive. There are some really sweet local places to eat and drink a short walk away. You can even get a water taxi to come to the house to collect you to go to other restaurants if you wanted! We did a day boat trip that was organised by the hosts as well and it was amazing especially as we were picked up at the house! We thought we would do a lot more in Dubrovnik but the villa was so nice we ended up staying at home a lot more than we thought we would. The outdoor cooking area is great and plenty of room to all eat together. I can't wait to go back!

Our hostess, Mara, is warm, kind, and extremely helpful. She went well beyond all expectations. Her home is beautiful and very well furnished. Her garden is an absolute delight. The neighborhood is very well situated. It's close to the beach and not to far from the old town. I am happy I did not stay in the old town after I saw all those crowds.

BonBon a perfect place
Review by: Marko on 15.08.2016

The place is super clean, quiet, and lovely for a few days stay in Dubrovnik. Its just above Banje beach (just 150 stairs above), and 5 min to city walls (also down the stairs, but thats Dubrovnik if you want to stay out of noisy centre). Right next to small supermarket where you can buy hot pastry in morning. Lidia was helpful with parking, which is super difficult and expencive here. Doesnt have a view (who needs if you are outside all day). All in all great experience.

Highly recommended place if you want to enjoy Dubrovnik!
Review by: Alex on 02.08.2016

BonBon - Great place in a perfect location for both time on the beach and old town experience in Dubrovnik, both in walking distance. Very nicely decorated and clean apartment with a boutique hotel room feeling. The host was perfect in every way, from arrival to departure.

Solei Ideal Apartment in Dubrovnik
Review by: CaroleEverett , New York City on 31.07.2016

This apartment is magnificent! Recently renovated in the most tasteful manner, it is truly beautiful. The location is also perfect, once you get over bringing luggage up or down many stairs. The host family are extremely helpful, gracious, and lovely. The terrace adds to the joy of staying here. We could watch to see when it was best to venture to climb and walk the medieval walls of the town, and see the moon rising over the Adriatic. This is Dubrovnik at its best!

Maar - What a beautiful view!
Review by: Alicia on 13.06.2016

Daniel and Lidia's apartment is an ideal place for couple or families of 3/4 people. It is close to the old city (only 8km) and close to the beach. There is the supermarket PEMO right next to the place. The apartment is exactly as shown on the pictures. It's modern, very clean and you have enough space. The terrace has a beautiful view on the sea and the place is quiet. The hosts are really friendly and they are available if you have any questions. They've kindly waited for us (our flight was delayed) and they made us feel comfortable and at home. There was plenty of hangers and closet space. Very short and pleasant walk down to the water where you have access to three beaches within walking distance. A wonderful, spacious apartment away from the craziness of the city! They greeted as friends and we appreciated it so much. I highly recommand this apartment, it's a perfect place to spend your holidays.

We really enjoyed our stay in the apartment. We found everything in good order as described and expected. The welcome was very nice and personable. We felt at home right away. The garden was great. Location was nice in a calm and quiet spot, but close to the waterside on the one side, and the beach on the other side. The bus stops nearby. Good restaurants nearby. Beautiful views and very pleasant. I would definitely come back if staying in Dubrovnik again.

“Incredibly helpful owner, lovely Dvori appartment”
Review by: on 23.08.2015

The owner, Maja,DVORI APARTMENT couldn't be more kind and welcoming. She even did several loads of laundry for us as our children had been backpacking beforehand (she lives in the appartment downstairs). She is a former travel agent so had many excellent suggestions for an intinerary including a detailed plan for us to spend the day in Montenegro. She has many interesting stories about her family and the war. Her German Shepard dog, Rex, is equally friendly. The garden, which we ate in daily, is stunning and the appartment has some quirky features and everything you could need, including parking, good air conditioning and wifi. The location is great - right by the harbour but on on the opposite side from the huge cruise ships that moor there. It is a 10 minute cab ride to the old town. Frankly I would rather stay here than by the old town, which is quite crowded, touristy and difficult to park. I couldn't recommend this appartment more highly (unless you want a land lady that you never see). (Oh, and there are two sets of steps to get into it so it would not be ideal for the disabled).

“Fantastic Maar apartment, beautiful view, great holiday”
Review by: Jacqui Sanders on 31.07.2015
It's unusual to find an apartment that is truly represented by its' photos and description. All queries were answered promptly by Lidia and we appreciated the taxi transfers to the airport. We had a lovely holiday in Zaton Mali enjoying swimming, kayaking and a boat trip. Dubrovnik is stunning and accessible by public transport but it was good to return to beautiful Zaton. There is a steep slope to the apartment, but the view makes it worth it!

Villa Ana
Review by: Rebecca Whistler on 18.07.2015

“I had a wonderful stay here. Very clean, quiet and spacious studio. Large comfortable bed with lovely fresh smelling linen. Out of the tourist hustle and bustle without being too far away. The family who own Villa Ana are very friendly and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble - from a bit of laundry, to a ride to the supermarket if they are free to take you. Only 50m from a gorgeous little beach (with hirable sun loungers and umbrellas). Ridiculously clear water that you can see fish swimming in without even being in the water (no snorkeling required!)! Not a surf beach, so safe for all. There are several restaurants on the beach, the one round the side has the best pizza ever (and that's coming from someone who was just in Italy!)! Go upstairs to get great views while you eat. You can also go on a boat tour to the Elafiti Islands (highly recommended) and be picked up from the wharf at the beach for no extra cost. If you like to run (or even just walk), there is a path most of the way round to the other side of Zaton..it is just gorgeous! Only problem is staying on the path and not running into things as you're so busy staring at the water/view! ;) There are also lots of fantastic looking restaurants with incredible views on the opposite side of the bay. To get to Villa Ana from the airport you can either be collected (for a fee - this was the only wee problem I had - in the ad it looks like this is a free service, but it's actually not, and as this was initially the main reason for my booking this place as it was above my budget, I was a bit annoyed, but in the end I'm glad I stayed here) or take the bus/shuttle to the main bus station (not Old Town, although you can catch a no. 1 bus to the main bus station from there) and then get a bus to Zaton (just ask at the ticket booth). The bus stops (don't forget to press the button - you can follow your progress on google maps even without wifi) at the end of the road down to Villa Ana (about 50m, and I managed it dragging 2 suitcases). My only complaint was that I couldn't stay forever!! :P Thank you for an amazing stay! ”

Marino in Villa
Review by: Bill Marlin on 02.07.2015

This is an awesome little apartment in a big house located right behind the Hilton Hotel just a five minute walk to the Pile Gate. We loved the high ceilings, antiques and beautiful garden. My kids commented that it was much more comfortable than a typical hotel room. The owner, Doda, met us when we arrived and explained everything to us. Lidia was very helpful during the booking process and arranged for transportation to the airport. She also suggest taking a bus from the ferry dock. It was cheap, easy and fast. Make your bus driver happy and buy your tickets ahead of time in the little tourist center across the street from the bus stop. We would highly recommend this place. It is SO close to the Old Town but very reasonably priced. Here's my tip to find the place easily. As you're standing on the main street looking up at the Hilton, take the walkway located on the right side of the hotel. When you come up the stairs and hit the wall, take a left. Walk about 50 feet and take the first stairway on your right. The entrance will be up about 30 feet on the left.

Lidia and Daniel were fantastically cooperative and helpful. Our flights were cancelled. We arrived very late and our luggage was lost. Lidia and Daniel accommodated all of this nonsense flawlessly. Also we loved the apartment. Everything worked perfectly including the air conditioning which we used at nighttime. The location of the apartment is brilliant. Just the best experience and we are pretty critical people. Thank you!!!

Very beautiful and comfortable apartment with a simple elegance and comfortable interior. Within walking distance to the sea, restaurants and super market.

We all felt completely at home at Mali Zaton bay and really enjoyed our stay.
Dubrovnik and several beaches are within easy reach, it was a good starting point for our trips. We would like to thank Mrs. Lasic for her assignment and could recommend him without any reservations.
We love to come back.

We so loved the place, the whole family did! We stayed for 2 nights. The home was really cozy with all the required necessities and within walking distance to the Old City. What was a plus was the nearby Danće Beach which the boys loved! Lidia and her parents were great hosts! It was a whole family affair with her father who greeted us, Lidia who we met while we were there and mom when we left. Thanks so much for the lovely stay in such a gorgeous city!

Was welcomed by both as we arrived. The apartment was clean and well presented. Situated just on the outskirts of the old town. About a 3 minute walk. Close to a pebble beach and access to transport nearby. The apartment had a beautiful terrace where we could sit and have dinner, drinks and play cards. One night we got brought down a lovely piece of apple homemade cake yum! And there son Eric who was excellent with his English would come and check everything was okay and ask about our day. Lovely! 5*****

Review by: Elena Sudan on 10.06.2015

Our stay at Lidia's apartment was beyond wonderful. The fact that we arrived quite late in the evening has not been an issue for Drago and Ive who were the locals who welcomed us and who have been there for us during our vacation. I can't stress enough what good and warm people they are and how comfortable they made us feel. The apartment has plenty of room for two people and is very bright and the location couldn't be better. It is near the center of Old Town and yet very calm, and in the most beautiful street of all Dubrovnik. 1-minute walk from the restaurant and 5-minute walk from the old harbor or Pile gate. The balcony is delightful and the view breathtaking. All in all our stay was really amazing and it is greatly due to the perfection of the apartment. I give Lidia and also Drago and Ive all my thanks and hope I will be able to come back some day.

Review by: Melanie Swann on 01.06.2015

We had a glorious stay in Lidia's beautiful apartment. There's everything you could possibly need or want. Sitting on the terrace is a beautiful way to end the day looking over the garden. After our stay I attended a work conference and several colleagues have asked for Lidia's details after seeing pictures and hearing is day how lovely everything was! Thanks Lidia, we really hope to stay again!

All in all a great experience!
Review by: Jackie Mich on 30.05.2015

The host was great and Maro was very helpful in helping us arrange transport to the airport and recommending some great things to do in the area. The apartment's location is ideal because it's still semi-residential and is fairly quiet, yet you are just steps away from the stradun/main street. The place was actually much more spacious and modern than I expected, which was a happy surprise. Many lovely windows that are easy to open and close and offer beautiful views of the city. Renters should know that the apartment is on the second floor and that the apartment itself is two stories, with the bathroom and bedroom on the lower level and the kitchen and living/dining room on the upper level. So prepare yourself for lots of stairs! This wasn't a problem for us at all, but it might be an issue for some.

We stayed one week at Ankora 1 and had a great time.
Review by: Elisabeth Ulset on 30.05.2015

The location is excellent, very close to the Old Town and very close to a very nice beach with a bar and many locals. We travelled with a 8 month old baby and carried her in a stroller up and down steps, but that was not a problem. The Art Cafe just down the street is higly recomended for meeting people. Lidia´s father Nikola drove us to and from the airport and the port with a big van with a baby seat which was excellent. We met the owner of the apartment who was available during our stay and the mother made us nice cake.  We would recomend staying at the apartment, mainly because of the location and the nice balcony.

Thank you Lidia, Nikša and Nives for welcoming us!
Review by: Emma Bell on 27.05.2015

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful apartment and if we return to Dubrovnik this is the place we will definitely stay again! Perfect location nestled in the lovely, cobbled streets of Dubrovnik, only 5 minutes walk from pile gate, bakery, restaurants and supermarket. Spacious, light and spotlessly clean with a glorious view over both the rooftops of the town and ocean. Awesome sight from the lovely, private terrace when you are enjoying your breakfast in the mornings! Cute little kitchen, clean bathrooms and super comfortable bedrooms with AC. Pristine linen and all of the amenities you would ever need ranging from cleaning supplies to a well equipped kitchen. The apartment is on an upper floor of a lovely, traditional, old Croatian house set in some lovely gardens with a couple of palm trees trimming the building. It's safe and quiet and made for a peaceful and relaxing base to call home whilst enjoying the joys of beautiful Dubrovnik. The main things we enjoyed most about this apartment were the magical view, the lovely terrace and the spaciousness of the property. There were three of us staying in the apartment and the large rooms and double bathroom meant there was plenty of space and privacy if you wanted it. Lidia was fantastic throughout the booking process and offered plenty of suggestions and advice regarding our holiday to Dubrovnik. She was always prompt to reply to any questions and able to provide useful information (Thank you Lidia!). The family that own the property were incredibly welcoming and hospitable throughout our entire stay. Nikša and Nives, the couple that run the apartment were wonderful. They were super friendly and able to offer help with anything at all we needed. They also offered some great suggestions of places to visit and things to see during our stay and were quick to answer any queries we had. All in all this is one of the best places I have ever stayed when traveling over the years. Absolutely beautiful apartment that captures the essence of local Croatian life. A wonderfully maintained and welcoming apartment which has made me want to return to Dubrovnik again. Staying here really enhanced our holiday in Croatia as all that morning coffee and burek on the terrace with that incredible view, made for some unforgettable memories. I would 100% recommend both this property and the fantastic hosts to anyone looking for a lovely place to stay in Dubrovnik. Me and my family had an amazing time.

Oranges and Lemons out of the garden filled our daily table and we also got some fish-speciality ready-cooked from Lidias Mum. So wonderfull. Thanks again for this very beautiful week.

The situation close to the old town is perfect. Your kindness and helping hand is wonderful and we felt really welcome. Thank you so much for that.

The bathroom was very nicely done and in general the apartment was well equipped. Lidia helped to arrange transfers to airport/bus station which was really helpful. Lidia was also very supportive and offered to help when I had a small accident while kayaking. The restaurant recommendations were all excellent, especially Gusta Me and Moskar. This place is a MUST if you're visiting Dubrovnik! The perfect distance from the city walls and Old Town (4-5 minutes walking). So quiet at night away from the nightlife, but still so safe and near it all! There is a bus stop 50 meters from door too and a few cafés moments away as well as a market. Everything you need is minutes away. We were greeted by Erik, who is the most gentlemanly 11 year old we have ever met who also has perfect English, and his grandmother and grandfather. Erik did the translating and it was great. He is so helpful, informative, and funny! Every day they brought us a treat! Fresh pomegranate, fried dough, and plenty of info about the town. The space is large for a studio! Equipped with all you need! Great shower, great beds, great patio with a view of the city walls! We ended up staying extra nights because we loved it so much! We will definitely stay there again! The price is so cheap too for the size and location!

We had an amazing time at Lidia apartment. It was in the perfect location in Dubrovnik-- a minutes walk from all the sites, shops, and attractions, but on a quiet enough street that we could sleep soundly at night. They were kind and courteous, and the place was exceptionally clean. We didn't use the kitchen at all, but it would have been perfect to whip up light meals. All in all we loved the apartment, and would definitely return. Coming home in the evening and looking out over the historic buildings and rooftops is a view I'll remember my whole life.

There are shops right round the corner including a lovely bakery which we got fresh bread from every morning, a couple of supermarkets, a pharmacy and a sandwich shop. There are reasonable restaurants nearby and some lovely places to eat in the old town. The apartment is in an old monastery and as such has good solid thick walls and a great sense of peace and quiet. there is outside space to dry clothes and hang out and all the people who live there were very friendly, The apartment is very clean and comfortable and was perfect for myself, my husband and our one year old son. Enough room and space to cook simple meals. We absolutely loved our time in Dubrovnik and couldn't have wished for a better place to stay. We felt very welcome and were well looked after - a cot and high chair were provided for us and of very good quality. I would actively recommend anyone to stay here for the perfect balance between the hustle and bustle of the old town and the peace and quiet of the apartment and nearby beach. It feels like an oasis.

Dubrovnik apartment Ragusa
Review by: Lange on 03.09.2014

Sehr ruhig. Einfach idyllisch. Gern immer wieder.

Review by: Clare Urlich on 01.09.2014

The apartment was amazing. Couldn't of been a more welcoming host!  The balcony was enjoyable for afternoon wines. The apartment is on the cutest street and close to everything in the Old City. The views are spectacular and I couldn't of imagined staying in a better apartment during my trip, didn't want to leave!

BonBon Superbe appartement
Review by: Bianca Berry on 24.08.2014

The apartment was exactly as pictured online. It was very spacious, modern and clean. Having a washing machine was handy too as we were nearing the end of our trip. Lidia was very flexible with us arriving as we got stuck at the Bosnian border and didn't know what time we were going to arrive. Her mother met us at the apartment and was very friendly. We were also able to organise an airport transfer the morning we left which was very convenient and cost 35 Euro. There are quite a few stairs down to the beach but it's very close, just a bit hard to do on your way back from a big dinner. If arriving with bags you should definitely enter from the road at the top instead of the one at the bottom and there are less stairs. Would recommend this to others visiting Dubrovnik!

Melanie Zaton Great apartment, great location, great hosts
Review by: Sophie Alpe on 20.08.2014

Lovely :) we were in the Melanie b-1 apartment, just next door to c-1, small but perfect for two people on holiday. Everything needed was included. The large terrace shared between three apartments was really lovely, we mostly had it to ourselves and always enjoyed lunch and dinner there with the lovely sea view. Beach really is only 100 meters away, down a set of stairs. There is also a small, local restaurant on the beach very reasonably priced where we enjoyed dinner a few evenings. The owners live downstairs. They are a lovely family and were always willing to help if we needed anything! Lydia was also of great assistance in answering all my questions prior to arriving! One last note: we had our own car, and Dubrovnik was not even ten minutes drive away. It may take a bit longer by bus, but never tried it. All in all we really loved our stay!

Ankora 2 Apartment
Review by: Linda A. B. on 19.08.2014

We had a wonderful experience staying in the Ankora 2 apartment for ten days while taking part in a conference on Anthropology and Health at the Inter-University Centre for Postgraduate Studies, less than 10 minutes walking in the direction of "town." With a great view and a pleasant outside seating area and with excellent air conditioning inside, we were very comfortable. There were more than enough electrical outlets. The ambiance was wonderful. Would highly recommend the apartment. It is good to come prepared to walk up stairs.

Penthouse at beach front villa
Review by: Kornelia on 19.08.2014

The accommodation was beyond expectations. Our room was clean and well equipped. The little beach at our doorstep was amazing. The water was crystal clear and the view spectacular. One of the two small restaurants at the beach serves very nice see food and other meals at reasonable prices. The other restaurant is a pizza place. The beautiful Dubrovnik is less then 10 minutes by car, but you can reach the city by a boat trip from here as well. The nearest little town has a shop that is open till very late, in case you get home too late and still hungry. I cannot think of anything more we could have wished for.

Old Town apartment with balcony _ Moskar
Review by: Peter on 06.08.2014

This was a fantastic property and we enjoyed our stay tremedously. Really nice place, short walk from the old town but set back in a quiet park area close to the sea. Well stocked kitchen, good air-con, all you would need as a base to explore Dubrovnik

It was the perfect start to our Croatian adventure and our host was very helpful. I would not hesitate to recommend this property (and owner) to anyone who wants to stay close to the old town.

We had a great stay in Stikovica. Our hosts were really friendly and helpful. The apartment was perfect for us, small but with everything we needed and the weather and location was so beautiful that we were rarely inside for long. Nice and clean, nice balcony area, effective air conditioning which was much needed. The local area is a brilliant place to relax - lovely pebble beach less than five minutes away, good bar/restaurants by the beach and we enjoyed walking around the bay to more lovely restaurants on the other side. It's easy to get to Dubrovnik from Stikovica with the bus leaving from the top of the village, it's a 15 minute journey. We had such a lovely stay, we couldn't have asked for anything more

The location is absolutely perfect and the space was sunny and clean.

Its truly lovely apartment Karla right in the middle of the old town. My friends and I really enjoyed our stay - we were able to fit four people into the apartment (2 in the bedroom and 2 on the pull-out couch, which was a bit cozy). Again, the location is perfect and the apartment was beautiful and clean and had everything we needed.

Review by: Tiffany Annabel on 03.07.2014

This apartment was absolutely perfect for us. It is exactly as depicted in the pictures; has an AMAZING view over Dubrovnik old town and the ocean. We saw some beautiful sunsets from the balcony! Perfect location - while there are a lot of stairs to the apartment, it only takes about 8 minutes or so to walk down to either the beach or to the Old Town. Our host and was extremely helpful and attentive, even carrying my ridiculously heavy bag up all of the steps to the apartment; offering to organise a cab to pick us up on the morning we were scheduled to check out, and providing a mobile phone for us to use if we needed to make any local phone calls. Only thing I would say (but it mentions this in the description anyway) is that it's probably not suitable for elderly people as there are a lot of stairs up to the apartment (kept us fit :)). Could not have had a better experience, so thank you very much for letting us stay in this beautiful apartment.

A great cosy apartment with a lovely balcony. The location is extremely convenient in the heart of the old town, and also very peaceful and quiet when we stayed (late April). Great communication with the owners and Eva who showed us to our room and came by midweek to drop off more towels. Eva was very friendly and welcoming and also gave us her number in case we had any problems. Apartment bed was very comfortable and the kitchenette had most of what we needed for a few meals in. This is a perfectly located apartment, just a few hundred meters from the Old City, and yet away from the noise of the downtown which can be quite crowded in the high season (we were in late August and it was still very busy). Here you feel as in the garden - having breakfast on the terrace overlooking the fortress, surrounded by the grapes and watching the host feeding their turtles. The kitchen is small (it's part of the studio) but there is a stove so you can cook whatever you need. The hosts (including their about 12-year old son with a great command of English) were very helpful. We would definitely return here again and Dubrovnik is definitely worth a visit!

Very nice, comfortable, and convenient apartment, 5 minutes walk to the beach, 10 minutes to the old city, in a very quiet & charming neighbourhood. We couldn't have hoped for better. We found accommodation prices in Dubrovnik to be quite high compared to the rest of Croatia, and even Europe, but at least we got a very good experience in this apartment, and Dubrovnik is really stunning. Apartment was perfect - The location is excellent in the old town, the balcony overlooking the pretty little street is fantastic and we felt privileged to stay in this apartment. Everything went smoothly. We booked the airport transportation in the last minute and that worked out well too. There are a lot of steps to the apartment which can be quite sweaty with heavy luggage, but it was not problem for us. Apartment was cute, clean, everything worked well and it is big enough for two people.

Apartment was perfect. Great location. Literally just outside the old city wall which means it was easy to get to with luggage (no hills or steps). Old Town apartment with balcony
Review by: Alex on 12.08.2013

I so enjoyed Lidia and Daniel's apartment in Old Town Dubrovnik. As others have said, the balcony really makes the space, and passing summer nights there with a bottle of Croatian wine can't be beat. I found the room clean and neat, with fresh linens, towels, and wi-fi that actually worked. Some have complained that the space is small, and while I *was* traveling alone, I found myself glad that the space wasn't too big -- the air conditioner actually cooled the whole room: a pleasant surprise.

The location does require a climb up some steep stairs, but I was grateful for the fifty yards or so that put between me and the crowds.Lidia and Daniel also arranged for a driver to meet me at the airport (for a reasonable extra fee) and sent someone to fetch me from the gate (for free), where the driver dropped me off. When I got to my room, I was greeting by cold fruit in the fridge. Great start to my trip -- would definitely stay with Lidia and Daniel Again.

What a great apartment and perfect location!
Review by: Caroline on 31.07.2013

We would highly recommend Ankora as we had a lovely visit. Lidia was very prompt with communication and organized airport transfers for us. Eric gave some great advice on the local area. The apartment was in a great location and very comfortable. Everything we had hoped for. Less than a ten minute walk to the Old Town, yet far enough away to have a neighborhood feel. Two hidden beaches within walking distance, filled with locals-- we were the only tourists swimming there!

Air conditioning was a great plus-- never thought of it as a criteria, but Dubrovnik in late July can be very hot!
Can't wait to come back to Dubrovnik and stay there again!

I highly recommend staying at Villa Anna! Ana and Boris were great, the place was perfect and right on the beach. The accommodations are located in a quiet little cove and very close to the bus systems that take you into the Old Town. Ana and Boris also offer some great outings at a reduced rate too so that is a bonus. There are two restaurants/bars/coffee shops on site that all have great food if you do not feel like cooking. The market is also a short drive/walk away that has everything you need too. Nicole - Stayed July 10-14th

Their lovely , sweet, immaculate apartment has a gorgeous view down the hill to the old city of Dubrovnik all the way to the sea. Lidia's father Nicholas met us for the key exchange at the Biker Bar, a well known landmark, near the Cable Car Base Station. We had everything we needed for an easy night's stay . The location is not in the Old City , but easy walking distance .. a stay with them gives you a different perspective from a stay in Old Dubrovnik. I would happily stay again. and would recommend others to do so . They arranged for an early morning (4:30) am airport pick up . It was totally trustworthy. You can imagine how I felt walking the steps to the street in the wee hours -- to be greeted by a driver minutes before scheduled pick up time. Thank you so much Lidia and Daniel

Makes for a truly relaxing vacation
Review by: Cody S on 24.05.2013

Beautiful apartment with stunning views and clean, modern amenities. Zaton is a great place to stay just outside of all the touristy trap restaurants and hotels in the Old City of Dubrovnik. Makes for a truly relaxing vacation. The beach is only a two minute walk down the street and there is a great cafe there right on the ocean, too. The apartment itself is perfect for a group of three or four but if you're tall, watch your head on the low ceilings when you walk to and from the kitchen... Wifi can be spotty if it rains and is a little slow but who wants to check their emails when theyre on vacation anyway? Overall a great stay and Lidia and Daniel are great hosts and very willing to help out at any hour of the day while you stay here (they live two doors below the penthouse). Croatia's beauty was beyond anything we were expecting and Zaton and the surrounding area (ocean, islands, and green hills) are no exception.

Fantastic apartment, excellent location!
Review by: Lynne M. on 27.02.2013

We had a fantastic stay in Apartment Anna. The apartment was clean and had everything we needed for our 2 week stay in Dubrovnik including air con, fridge and beautiful garden terrace. It is a five minute walk from the Pile gate (main entrance to the old town) and set in a quiet pedestrian area directly behind the HIlton Hotel. Everything in Dubrovnik is within 15 minutes walking distance from the apartment, including a small local gem of a beach (pebbles) with gorgeously clear water. This is much better (and much closer!) than Banje beach at the other side of the old town and many of the locals go here too. Owner was lovely and met us at the Hilton when we arrived (bus from airport drops you right at Pile gate!). Beware though, the walk from Pile to the apartment has quite a few steps and with heavy luggage its a tough climb. Take it slowly though and its worth it when you reach the top! Overall, I would definitely recommend this apartment to anyone. I couldn't fault it. Hopefully we will be back one day! Thanks!

She arranged transport for us to the apartment from the airport, which made our arrival into Dubrovnik so easy. Lidia met us (with fruit and a bottle of champagne... very sweet touch) to check into the apartment. For the next four days we felt right at home, with a peaceful private little apartment, complete with washing machine (clothes dried extremely quickly on the terrace, thanks to the sunshine and summer heat!), kitchen equipped for cooking meals in, and lovely garden view from the living room. We were pleased with the apartment, especially the lovely rooftop terrace, which was a fantastic spot to take in views of the city, enjoy a meal, and catch some sun. Geographically, the apartment is perfectly situated for visitors to Dubrovnik. It's a convenient and pleasant walk no matter where in town you want to go. You can get to old town, beaches, the harbor, shops, grocery store. It's great. I would definitely recommend to friends and family looking for a pleasant holiday in Dubrovnik..

Amica House
Review by: Dominikus Herzberg on 13.08.2012

It is a luxury apartment with a great terrace and a great view on Zaton bay -- a lovely place. There is a wonderful beach nearby (3-4 minutes down the stairs) and there is a taxi boat in the morning to Dubrovnik, which is a highlight to go with. Our host, was a very nice and kind person.

Great place to stay
Review by: Stephanie Cooper on 10.08.2012

The beautiful view from the terrace made the 78 step climb worthwhile. Travel light if you can to visit this area as there are huge flights of steps up and down everywhere around Dubrovnik. The apartment Ankora was very well and simply equipped. Tomi checked everything was ok for us daily, and was very helpful and entertaining about the local area and history. the cooker has just 2 hobs so if you want to cook it needs to be simple, plenty of equipment though. A couple of wine glasses would have been a bonus. Air conditioning and wifi were both provided free. The beaches are varied, some rocky some pebbly. Art cafe nearby does great cocktails. Less than 5 minutes walk to the old town and port. We really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely consider going again or using LS Adriatic services. Sorry we missed saying goodbye Tomi as our taxi arrived early.

A Great Stay in Dubrovnik thanks to LS Adriatic!
Review by: Sylvia de Martino on 24.07.2012

We had a perfect stay in Dubrovnik! For 8 nights we stayed at Ankora, a modern apartment with a shared, large porch and a great view, and close to everything, and the last 4 nights we enjoyed staying at Capitan, deep in the Old City--a charming, romantic apartment that has been beautifully renovated. Both apartments, although very different, were both very clean, and their owners lived nearby, which made it easy to ask for help if needed. Lidia was great in helping me select these apartments based on our requirements, as we engaged in emailing back and forth after I found LS Adriatic online. She was also very helpful with some local information I needed. LS Adriatic also offers excursions, so you can enjoy one-stop shopping with them. We highly recommend working with LS Adriatic, and thanks again, Lidia!

Solei apartment
Review by: Martin Hauge on 17.07.2012

This year we chosed the apartment Solei. A little bit longer distance from the Old Town (5 min) and the beach than Ragusa/Mediterian (as we hired last year). The advantage was the view from the balcony and more space. The history of the 120 years old house is interesting. The hosts were friendly and helpful, they have really managed to keep the old style combined with nice comfort. We really recommend this apartment to families and people who appreciate nice breakfasts and dinners with view over the sea and Old Town.

WE LOVE YOU!!!! Thanks!

Review by: Anais on 18.06.2012
A friend and I stayed at BonBon apartment for a week and found that it lived up to all our expectations. The location is perfect, so close to both the Old Town and Banje beach. The owners are extremely friendly and welcoming and their airport transfer is reliable. The flat is exactly as it is in the pictures, clean, modern and airy. The terrace also provides a peaceful little haven with a glimpse of the sea in the background. Would definitely come back here, worth every penny! Thanks Lidia!

“Dubrovnik's best secret!”
Review by: Smithtown, New York on 01.05.2012

Myself and my mom visited Croatia for two weeks and this restaurant Gusta me had some of the best food.... and the BEST service by far. The staff was so welcoming and courteous, we visited the restaurant numerous times during our visit. The food was wonderful, from the traditional appetizers (octypus salad, etc.) to the exquisite desserts (fresh fruit platter was awesome). Most important? Even when we visited and only ordered a glass of wine so that we could check our internet (our villa had no wireless) the staff was courteous and polite, this is a rare experience in many tourist destinations! Do visit this restaurant- it is so very good.

Warm Croatian hosts & an authentic experience at Gradac
Review by: Autumn, Oregon on 22.04.2012

Absolutely wonderful place park Gradac. The hosts are far above hospitable and kind. We were even served fish soup and given any help we needed. They were right there. Good Internet. Absolutely perfect location, just out of the city walls in a garden with birds singing and palm trees. Felt like we were guests in the home of friends. Loved our experience and would recommend this place with confidence.

Sea food paradise...
Review by: Turku, Finland on 28.01.2012

Been travelling lots of times along the Croatian coast, but I just can't pass Mali Ston without having a meal in Kapetanova kuca. It's not the cheapest on the coast, but absolutely the best. This is no tourist trap as it's a bit off the beaten track. It's a very Croatian place owned by a local family who also runs the stylish and charming hotel next to the restarant. The service is excellent - mainly men dressed in black - and the sea food is always fresh. The bay by Mali Ston is known for the "mussle farms" which makes this place a sea food and sea shell's heaven. The meny is extensive and the food always start with toast and fish pate served on a sea shell plate. If you are a sea food fanatic, you can also ask to have a look in their fish well that is situated in the sea just across the plaza in front of the restaurant. You can then tell them exactly how you want your choise of fish or scampi prepared. What I often chose is a sea food plate for two and a black risotto and maybe a sea food spagetti. This is enough for a family of 5. The sea food plate is loaded with 2-3 different kinds of fish, mussels, scampi and octopus. Mali Ston is situated in one of the best wine regions of Croatia, so even the house wine served in 1 or 0,5 liter jug is just great. The sweet macaroni cake is a speciality of the house, but it's quite heavy, so one piece is enough for two.

Thank you so much.

"Ankora perfect base for exploring Dubrovnik"
Review by: Naomi G on 27.09.2011

This is a really lovely self-catering. The photos and other reviews are very accurate, there were no surprises at all when we got there. The Ankora apartment is spacious and very well kept, and had all the amenities you would want (wi-fi, air conditioning, a television, a safe for your valuables, a drying rack, extra blankets should you need one - it also now has a corkscrew, as we left ours there by accident!). It was very comfortable and the terrace is great. It is in close quarters with the studio apartment next door (terrace is shared) but we had lovely neighbours during our stay. The location is just excellent, just a 5 minute walk away from Old Town and Pile Gate. The owner was very accomodating, easy to deal with and discreet - she was readily available to help if need be, but left you to get in touch rather than stopping by, which we wouldn't necessarily have welcomed. Everything was very straightforward - for example, the wi-fi was easy to connect to and the airport transfer was easily arranged. I was travelling with my mother and we both really liked the apartment. It's very good value in an otherwise expensive city.

“Lovely little apartment, a stones throw from the Old Town”
Review by: Kate, Stayed June 2011, traveled as a couple on 16.09.2011

We have just returned from our stay at the Ankora apartments. We were pleased to find that the Old Town is a 2 minute walk straight down the hill to the Old Town, where you soon reach the pedestrianised area. The apartment was secure, with all the amenities we needed, with a compact bathroom and walkthrough bedroom-come-living room to a kitchenette. We found the apartment very clean, the kitchen was well supplied and there was ample fresh bedding and towels.
The apartment was also provided with wifi which we found very helpful. I would recommend this apartment for young couples or small families for a short stay in Dubrovnik, with the appeal of proximity to the old town without the price tag. There was also a nice beach about 15 minutes up the road.

Thanks Lidia for a great stay.

Wonderful stay in Villa Amica, Stikovica
Review by: on 04.09.2011

We spent a wonderful 10days in Villa Amica in Stikovica in August 2011. We rented the whole house and we were 5 adults and one baby. My parents stayed in the open space apartment on the first floor while my wife, my daughter, my sister and myself stayed in the 2 bedroom apartment on the ground floor. The ground floor apartment is smaller than the first floor apartment, but with two separate bedrooms it worked very well for us. We had all necessary equipment in the house and we really enjoyed being there. We were nicely welcomed and could phone the landlady if we needed something. The house is very nice and clean. The view from the house is amazing. We used both terraces a lot, the terrace on the first flour mainly during daily hours and the huge terrace on the top of the house for the dinner. Stikovica is a very small village, it is very quiet there. The local beach is just a 2 minute walk away from the house which is a huge plus. The beach is very nice, with two restaurants right on it. We were at the beach every morning and it was not crowded at all in those hours. During the afternoon we either went down for a short swim in the sea or went to some other beaches farther away from Dubrovnik. I would recommend a beach called Veliki Zali, approximately 15 minutes away from Stikovica in the direction from Dubrovnik. It has the best water I have ever seen in Croatia, lot of different fishes and aquarium blue water. It also has a really nice restaurant and it is far away from any residences. A car is a must for any kind of vacation outside the city of Dubrovnik, especially if you have small kids. Just few minutes away from Stikovicaby car, in the nearby village,Mali Zaton, there is a small food store. You can also take a walk around the whole Zaton Bay in late afternoon hours, it was really nice to walk around there. For what we got, we were really pleased with the price. It was very good value for the money and we would strongly recommend our friends to visit both Stikovica and Villa Amica in the future.

Fantastico!
Review by: France on 27.08.2011

I wanted to write a comment regarding the wonderful hospitality that we received by leasing the beautiful apt in Dubrovnik park Gradac. Staying there was one of the highlights of our trip. The accommodations were homey and comfortable and a good location from which to set out on sightseeing walks.
Your husband made us feel at home when we arrived. Helpful information was also lovely. We really enjoyed the Mimosa restaurant that was recommended. Thanks again for arranging the reservations for us.
Our vacation to Croatia was one of the highlights of my life. We just loved the sights, the scenery, the art, the people and of course the food and wine. We look forward to returning one day! Thanks again, and we will be happy to recommend your apt. to friends who will be traveling your way.

Superb location, all the essentials at Park Gradac
Review by: Verena on 13.07.2011

A charming apartment with air conditioning and two good-sized double bedrooms. Although it doesn't have a lounge area there is a kitchen table, a TV in one of the bedrooms, and plenty of outdoor patio space (shared). Its location is excellent: close to the old town (a few minutes walk down the road, which also has convenience stores), a rocky cove also a few minutes walk behind the apartment, and just on the outskirts enough to have some peace.

The apartment is accessed via a little lane, which overlooks the garden of a beautiful old monastery. Would definitely stay here again if we were ever lucky enough to return to this beautiful city.

Review by: Raimo B on 09.07.2011

We spend the last week of June in apartment park Gradac. The place is excellent. All the modern conveniences in a nice old style building. The location could not be better. Beach and old town are very near. All places are in the walking distance but the environment is very peaceful in the edge of a park.

Delicious BonBon
Review by: JohannaSpain on 06.07.2011

Bonbon is the right name for this studio, because it's a delicious small piece of design. Very new, very clean, peacefull and quiet.

Just forty steps up you'll find the busstop, a supermarket and Biker's Café known by all the taxidrivers - very handy indeed. Hunderdfifty steps down and you are on the beach and at the gate of the old town.

Perfect stay in apt. Ragusa

We are a family with three persons, we stayed ten days in apt Ragusa in Junw 2011. The flat is very good eqipped, even with Wifi :-) The beach is just 50 m away, the old town is just 2 min walk, and it is a perferct place for entering excursions to f.ex. Mostar. This is a place that we really recommend.

Exceeded expectations at Ankora!
Review by: Tasha, Ottawa, Canada on 14.06.2011

This Ankora place is even better in person than in the pictures. The apartment we got was tastefully decorated and clean. We had the choice of 2 since the one next door wasn't booked, and we had a hard time deciding which one we wanted. Price and location could not be beat! Only a 3 minute walk to the old town, and about a 1 minute walk to an amazing little bar called "Art Cafe", where the seats are old claw foot bathtubs sawed in half.
The view is to die for - exactly like the pictures show.
My 25 year old friend and I found it just perfect for the two of us on a girls trip. In fact, our expectations were exceeded.
I would highly recommend this place to anyone, and I will definitely be back! The only thing is that there are a few stairs and you can't get there directly by car (which you don't want in Dubrovnik anyways, since parking is expensive), so not ideal for people with disabilities.

Where to stay in Dubrovnik
Review by: Michael, Portland on 29.05.2011

I've never stayed anywhere else in Dubrovnik but with one of LS Adriatic's apartments, so I don't really have anything there to compare with. But since I've enjoyed both of their apartments that I've stayed in so far, there's been zero incentive to try anywhere else.
And I know I never will. I stayed in Medi the first time I visited Dubrovnik, and the view there is spectacular. I stayed in Ankora2 this time. The view is not as spectacular, but it's easier to get to. So you have your choice!
Both apartments were very nice, and the people you deal with are more than very nice. They are simply the best.

Review by: Mira on 11.04.2011

The listing and the apartment were identical, very clean and cheerful. Location was perfect for us as we found ourselves in the middle of life in Dubrovnik and far from City noice as apartment is at the park.
The apartment is decorated with class, there are room for 3+2 guests in the apartment. I highly recommend this rental where you will find comfortable beds, working air conditioner, lots of towels and you can ask for more if you need.Everything we needed was nearby and at our disposal.
Owners are offering airport transfer services and excursions, and also thay offer us other 2 beds apartment at the same area, apartment Ankora where our friend stay, and they also loved apartment.

This was my fourth visit to Dubrovnik and my best apartment rental.

"Large apartment very close to Old Town"
Review by: amy.mcgregor on 17.12.2010

Three of us stayed in apartment park Gradac for 3 nights in September. The most relevant thing about it is that it is an excellent location and the owners were very friendly. The flat is comfortable, we didn't use the kitchen but it was a good size. It was more expensive than we wanted as budget travellers but good value for money in the expensive city of Dubrovnik.

"Kod Marka"
Review by: Zeljko Erak on 02.07.2010

It was the end of the summer of 2007, a time when my colleagues and I were facing a big business and personal challenge; making the first Dubrovnik restaurant guide we named Where to eat, which was to include best Dubrovnik restaurants to help visitors make their decision about where to dine while visiting. We were determined to print a quality brochure, the success of which depended greatly on numerous gastro strolls through most of the regional venues. I was “stuck” with the island of Šipan, the largest of the Elaphite islands. My task was to find the best restaurant on the island and negotiate business cooperation. All the sources I had pointed to the same direction – Kod Marka. Though small and secretive, it was discovered by gourmands as a trump card for special occasions.

Upon my arrival I noticed the first promising sign; on the shore just in front of the restaurant there was a person cleaning fish in the sea and throwing the remains to numerous crabs that were gathering to feast on the intestines of the freshly caught fish. This person was the owner`s son, another positive detail about this restaurant; it is a family run business.

Marko, the owner, was already busy preparing the fire for the grill which made me fear that there would not be enough time for the presentation of our project, at least not for such a broad one as I had prepared. But my fear disappeared after the first few minutes of our conversation since it became clear that Marko had done his homework and asked around to see what our brochure was about. Soon enough he brought to my table, completely unexpectedly on my part, a delicious meal that he had grilled just moments before. This was a very touching gesture; such effort and courtesy cannot be paid enough. I expected a busy restaurant owner and 5 minutes of his time, instead I received a nice conversation, and a delicious three course meal that was on the menu that day accompanied by a locally made Merlot with a beautiful bouquet.

Dubrovnik apartment Mediteran
Review by: Irvin on 12.06.2010

Stayed there on 22 May. We were booked on Azzura, but they put us on Jadrolinja, so ferry arrived earlier than anticipated, however owner was kind enough to meet at this unscheduled time. Showed us into the apartment and helped us to organise the 3 day pass for the cheap parking garage which is just up the hill beyond the Hilton. Apt is located in a former convent and in the far corner in front of the garden. Can be a bit noisy if there are groups about, on one night a group of girls kept singing late into the night. But is summer time. Close to the old city and has adequate supplies. Bed is comfortable. Would have been great if deposit could have been paid by paypal or credit card and though it did not create a problem for us, I am sure others would have been put off from booking due to this.

We stayed in Mediteran in September 2009. The apartment was ideally located - just 2 minutes walk to the Old Town and extremely central. There is also a small private beach nearby it which was a lovely bonus and a nice, quiet, secluded courtyard. The owners were so friendly and helpful and there was more than enough towels, linen etc. The apartment itself was very clean and ample room for 3 or 4 people with two nice bedrooms. The pick up was fantastic and the driver was friendly and professional. The location of the apartment could not have been better.

Highly recommend for your stay in Dubrovnik!

All arrangements proceeded smoothly, easy to find etc. In a great spot within easy walking distance of the old town- close enough to be able to come and go easily, but far enough not to be bothered by the late night party-goers. Had 3 nights here, could easily have stayed longer.

This is a great apartment. It is quiet, clean, spacey and not  expensive. It's located just around the corner of the old city, but in  a very quiet area. Also just a few minute walking distance from the  park and sea. Nice view of the city. Mr Nicola and wife are very  friendly and helpful. Best deal in Dubrovnik I think. Be back next year hopefully

A very good option, authentic stay. If you don't need a hotel, and want to experience things in a more local sense, there are a range of apartments that should work well. Most are close to the Old Town, which is great. This also means most are located along the hills which require a lot of steps to access, but it feels like you are one of the locals.

  • Liked — authentic feel, price is reasonable
  • I recommend this hotel for: Young singles, A romantic getaway, Girlfriend getaway, Families with young children, Families with teenagers, Tourists
  • I do not recommend this hotel for: An amazing honeymoon, People with disabilities, Older travelers, Pet owners

A jewel near Dubrovnik. Difficult to find by car (specially the first time) but the location is good. Staff very attentive and kind. The best, the apartments, perfectly clean and tidy.

Review by: Vaido & Ljudmila on 23.06.2008

We enjoyed our stay in Croatia very much! Still we remember the beautiful nature and hot weather. Your apartment favorable location near the swimming place was very welcome. Thank you very much for being by the time we arrived at airport. The Mediteran apartment we rented was good enough, existing equipment adequate and again thank you very much for being so helpful and friendly to us. We wish you all the best and success in your business!
